About little cub reiki

Picture

My name is Jenny Sandbank. I’m a certified animal reiki
practitioner based in Brooklyn, NY. My love and concern for animals goes back as far as I can remember. Literally. My first memory is of our pet turtle, Rain Rain, making a break for the pond and my grandfather jumping in, fully clothed, after her. I believe it was my innate concern for animals that granted this memory the auspicious honor of being my first.

As the years progressed, my concern and love of animals displayed itself in more and more embarrassing ways. From the hysterical sobbing at seafood restaurants, when I found out the fate of the lobsters in the tank. To the uncontrollable, drag-me-out-to-the-lobby emotional breakdown at the matinee of Charlotte’s Web. And it goes without saying that some stray cats followed me home, without any encouragement from me:)

As an adult, I helped start a cat adoption center in NYC, called Ollie’s Place (www.olliesplace.org), walk dogs at shelters and volunteer at the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary (www.woodstocksanctuary.com), shoveling all sorts of poop and doing whatever else I can to be of service to these amazing beings.

I also volunteer at shelters, sharing reiki treatments with rescue dogs and cats, who are experiencing physical and emotional issues. And I dole out reiki treatments at the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary to any resident who wants it, like Seth (to the right), who they believe escaped from a local, live meat market and was found wandering the streets of Queens,  scared, sick and hungry.

I truly believe I was put on this earth to be of service to animals. I would consider it a privilege and an honor to, through the practice of reiki, help your animal friend achieve their highest level of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Namaste,
Jenny
